Let Our Voices Be Heard!
Please let the Governor and our elected representatives know how you feel about the nursing home cuts proposed in the 2010-2011 state budget! According to the New York State Department of Health calculations, it is etimated that the 2010-2011 proposed state budget will result in a Medicaid revenue loss of between 200,000 and 300,00 to The Friendly Home.
You may send a letter to the state legislators electronically by visiting www.nyahsa.org. Just fill in your contact information and letters will automatically be emailed to both your state Assembly and Senate representatives based on your zip code. This easy and quick option takes just a moment to complete!
We are asking for your support in addressing this critical issue with the Governor and elected representatives. Please join us in urging them to reject the proposed budget cuts to nursing homes by writing letters and/or calling them. Simply download the letters here (one addressed to Governor and one that can be used for both Senate and Assembly representatives), fill in the name of the legislator you would like to send it to, and sign it with your name and address.
